The family workshop “Music of the forest – we build instruments from nature” is a creative meeting in the open air, during which participants – children and adults – will together create simple musical instruments from natural materials such as bark, sticks, pinecones or shells. The event does not require any previous skills – what counts is openness to experience and willingness to work together. Participants will learn about the variety of sounds that can be made from the elements of nature, and how nature inspires music making. Using simple tools, we will make simple but surprising musical instruments. The workshop will end with joint music making and a mini concert.
