KAPELA ODLOTY

[Dancing party with traditional Polish music]

18/O7

Festival tent

The nightly dance in the festival tent is one of those moments at Globaltika when music truly becomes a communal experience. A wooden floor, a live band, people dancing together – no stage, no distance. This year the dance will be played by Kapela Odloty – a band that reaches for traditional Polish dance themes and plays them the way they used to be done: clearly, rhythmically, with energy.

Kapela Odloty is based on authentic melodies from central Poland, drawing inspiration from archival recordings and traditions passed down from generation to generation. Oberki, kujawiaki, cheers, mazurkas – this is music that arose from the need to be together and today can still rouse to dance. The band does not reconstruct it by force – it performs it in a natural, unstylized way, reflecting its original character: simple, raw, but extremely engaging. This is music that not only sounds, but above all is “alive” – it pulsates with energy that almost immediately encourages movement and dancing.

Dancing with the Band of Departures is an invitation to experience something real and universal – the joy of being together, moving together and sharing a musical moment. It’s music that brings generations together and makes everyone, regardless of age or experience, feel part of a living tradition.
