Pomeranian Wildlife Rehabilitation Center OSTOJA invites you to an event to be held during the Globaltica Festival. The meeting will take place on 18.07.2025, at 17:00, in the form of a discussion.
The topic of the event will be human and animal welfare – how the care of wild animals in the Ostoja affects staff and volunteers. Topics on helping wild animals will also be discussed – whether and when to help, how to behave in the presence of a wild animal, i.e. a discussion of good practices towards wild animals.
The event is aimed at all age groups.
The audience will gain basic knowledge of good practices related to wild animals, so there is no requirement for specific knowledge or skills.
Representatives of the Pomeranian Wildlife Rehabilitation Center OSTOJA will participate in the discussion.
Pomeranian Wildlife Rehabilitation Center OSTOJA is a foundation, and has been running a wildlife rehabilitation center for 13 years. To date, we have taken in more than 22,500 wild animals in need of help – wild birds and small mammals (hedgehogs, hares, squirrels, martens, polecats, weasels). Our main goal is to enable injured protected wild animals to return to the wild. In addition to rehabilitating and providing veterinary care for injured wild animals, we are dedicated to carrying out our mission through environmental counseling and education, particularly in the field of wildlife conservation. By spreading knowledge about the life of wild animals and good practices for helping wild animals, we aim to minimize the number of human-wildlife crises.
