The play ‘The Little Boat’
The play is set in ancient Turkey, in Istanbul – its capital at the time – and, more precisely, on the sea that flows through it. The main characters – Karagöz and Hacivat – work on a boat, ferrying people from one bank to the other. Among their customers are Sleepyhead, who loves going for walks; an Arab from Africa who is always cold; a Jew selling all sorts of bric-a-brac; a huge woodcutter; a very rude dwarf; and a girl on the run from her fiancé. Every trip is different and full of all sorts of surprises.
After the performance, there will be workshops with the actors from the theatre!
