Join us on a journey through clouds and seas – and everything in between. From the Siberian tundra, the Biebrza marshes, the Scottish moors and London – all the way to the southern reaches of Africa and Australia. We will try to look at the ever-changing world through the eyes of those who have traveled it since time immemorial. Our guide will be Sacha Dench. Certainly one of the bravest women in the world and undoubtedly the most creative, if not the craziest naturalist and activist.
The meeting invites anyone interested in the problems of the modern world and our civilization, whose foundations are a stable climate and the earth’s biodiversity that sustains it (and all of us). Something that even climate activists seem to ignore. We also invite those who are curious about the world, travel and people who act, inspire and set new trends, as well as cross borders and reach places no one else has dared to go – even if they were to fly 7,000 kilometers there on a motor-paraglider!
Finally, we invite you and those who love good stories (all on facts!) and the English language. Because few have traveled so much of the world to learn about its problems and put their solutions together. And few people tell stories the way Sacha does. This year in Gdynia, at the Globaltica Festival!
The talk will feature Jacek Karczewski – naturalist, activist and nature promoter, author of numerous publications, articles and books, including: “Her Highness the Goose. Tales of the Birds” and “Night of the Owls. Tales from the Forest”, co-founder of the publishing house Ptaki Polskie and chief copywriter of most of the projects carried out there and accompanying artistic creations, such as Bądź na pTAK! and Ogród na pTAK or Noc Sów.
Meeting conducted in English with Polish translation.
