SOFIANE SAIDI & MAZALDA (Algeria)
Raï is a type of Algerian popular music that arose in the 1920s in the port city of Oran and that self-consciously ran counter to accepted artistic and social mores. A new electro-Maghreb vision of that genre by
Sofiane Saidi, called sometimes "the Prince of Raï 2.0", blends oriental science and contemporary urgency with the vivid and colourful sound of Mazalda.
Concert at Globaltica will be their first meeting with Polish audience.
KAPELA NIWIŃSKICH (Poland)
Kapela Niwińskich are a group of disciples of village musicians, active artists and researchers into Polish music traditions, seeking the indigenous sound of folk music, initiators and participants of numerous events aiming at bringing local folk musical tradition to life.
Their repertoire comprises village oberks and mazurkas, polkas, krakowiaks or waltzes and this is what they will present during the Globaltica social dancing evening on Wednesday, 25th July.
ARVVAS (Sámi/ Norway)
A joik (also spelled yoik), is one of the most characteristic traditional Sámi form of expression - a traditional form of song and a vocal technique at once which has been a great inspiration for the group.

Their music offers a fusion of joik, Americana and elements of jazz. Concert at Globaltica will be their first meeting with Polish audience.
